Section 1. Introduction

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SLIDEC, including the SLIDEC applications, website, account services, subscription services, and related features that link to these Terms (collectively, the “Service”).

SLIDEC is provided by:

Diego Armando Cabrera Laya
Independent developer of SLIDEC
Chile

By downloading, installing, accessing, creating an account for, purchasing a subscription to, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Certain parts of the Service may also be subject to additional terms imposed by Apple, Google, an app store, an operating-system provider, or another third-party platform. Those terms apply in addition to these Terms where relevant.

Section 2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create a SLIDEC account.

If the law where you live requires you to be older to enter into these Terms independently, you may use the Service only with any consent or authorization required by applicable law.

If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian may be required to review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

Section 3. Description of the Service

SLIDEC is a presentation-control service designed to allow compatible devices to control presentations and other supported visual content.

Depending on your device, platform, subscription, configuration, and available features, SLIDEC may provide functionality such as:

  • presentation navigation and control;
  • remote presentation commands;
  • timer functionality;
  • compatible wearable-device controls;
  • configurable controls and layouts;
  • haptic feedback;
  • remembered or trusted devices;
  • presentation modes;
  • subscription-based features;
  • account synchronization and entitlement management;
  • other presentation-related functionality introduced over time.

SLIDEC may be used with third-party applications, operating systems, devices, presentation software, browsers, PDFs, or other compatible content.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, SLIDEC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the developers or owners of third-party presentation applications merely because SLIDEC can interact with them.

Section 4. Software License

SLIDEC and its software are licensed, not sold.

Subject to these Terms, applicable app-store rules, and payment of any applicable fees, SLIDEC grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to install and use the Service for its intended purposes on devices that you own or control.

This license does not transfer ownership of SLIDEC or any intellectual-property rights to you.

If you obtain SLIDEC through an Apple App Store, the license to the application is additionally subject to Apple’s applicable Standard End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”) unless a different valid license agreement is expressly provided for that version of the application.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to reduce rights granted to you under an applicable app-store license or mandatory law.

Section 5. Accounts

Some SLIDEC features may require a SLIDEC account.

When creating or using an account, you agree to:

  • provide information that is accurate to the extent required;
  • maintain control of the authentication method associated with your account;
  • not impersonate another person;
  • not create or use accounts for fraudulent or abusive purposes;
  • notify us if you reasonably believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.

SLIDEC may support authentication through third-party identity providers such as Apple or Google.

Your relationship with those identity providers is also governed by their respective terms and policies.

SLIDEC accounts are personal and may not be sold, rented, transferred, or commercially shared unless we expressly authorize otherwise.

Section 6. Account Identities and Linking

A SLIDEC account may support one or more compatible authentication identities.

Where account linking is supported, SLIDEC may require verification that the identities belong to the same person before linking them.

We may refuse, reverse, or restrict an account-linking operation where we cannot safely verify account ownership or where linking could compromise account or subscription security.

Creating an additional SLIDEC account does not automatically transfer subscriptions, purchases, preferences, or entitlements associated with another account.

Section 7. Free Service, Paid Plans, and Feature Availability

SLIDEC may offer different levels of access, including free access and paid subscription plans such as Free, Plus, Pro, or other plans introduced in the future.

Different plans may provide different:

  • features;
  • customization options;
  • device limits;
  • remembered-device limits;
  • presentation controls;
  • layouts;
  • usage allowances;
  • evaluation access;
  • subscription benefits;
  • other functionality.

The features included in each plan are those displayed within SLIDEC or on the applicable purchase screen at the relevant time.

SLIDEC may modify the names, organization, feature allocation, or limits of plans over time, subject to applicable law and any rights associated with an active paid subscription.

A feature being available in one version of SLIDEC does not guarantee that the feature will remain available indefinitely.

Section 8. Free Evaluation Access

SLIDEC may provide limited evaluation access to paid functionality for eligible users.

Evaluation access may be subject to limits such as:

  • number of evaluation sessions;
  • duration;
  • eligible features;
  • eligible accounts or devices;
  • frequency of use;
  • other reasonable anti-abuse restrictions.

The applicable conditions will be displayed in the Service where relevant.

Evaluation access has no cash value, is not transferable, and may not be combined, duplicated, manipulated, or circumvented through multiple accounts, devices, reinstalls, or other methods intended to defeat eligibility restrictions.

SLIDEC may modify or discontinue evaluation programs for future users.

Section 9. Free Trials and Promotional Offers

SLIDEC may offer free trials, introductory offers, promotional offers, discount codes, or other promotional access.

Eligibility, duration, availability, and renewal conditions may vary by:

  • platform;
  • country or region;
  • account;
  • subscription history;
  • app-store rules;
  • promotional campaign.

The terms presented at the time you accept an offer control that offer.

Where a free trial or promotional period converts into a paid auto-renewable subscription, the subscription will renew at the applicable displayed price unless you cancel it in accordance with the applicable app-store rules before renewal.

Not every user is necessarily eligible for every trial or promotional offer.

Section 10. Subscriptions

Certain SLIDEC features require a paid subscription.

SLIDEC may offer subscription plans with different billing periods, including monthly, annual, or other periods made available through the applicable store.

The exact:

  • subscription product;
  • billing period;
  • price;
  • currency;
  • taxes;
  • included features;
  • introductory terms;
  • renewal conditions

will be displayed before you confirm the purchase.

Prices may vary by country, currency, platform, taxes, exchange-rate treatment, app-store pricing, promotional eligibility, or other factors.

Section 11. Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions identified as auto-renewable automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled in accordance with the procedures of the applicable app store or billing provider.

By purchasing an auto-renewable subscription, you authorize the applicable app store or billing provider to charge the applicable subscription price according to its terms until the subscription is canceled.

SLIDEC does not directly control the billing credentials used by Apple, Google, or another app-store provider.

You are responsible for managing your subscription through the account or store through which you purchased it.

Section 12. Subscription Ownership and Account Association

To protect subscription ownership and prevent conflicting access, a subscription or purchase may be associated with a specific SLIDEC account.

SLIDEC may use account and transaction-related identifiers to verify that a subscription belongs to the account claiming access.

A particular purchase may be permitted to belong to only one SLIDEC account at a time.

If SLIDEC detects conflicting claims to the same subscription, access may be temporarily restricted until ownership can be verified.

We may provide account-recovery procedures to help reconnect a valid subscription with the appropriate account.

You agree not to:

  • intentionally associate another person’s purchase with your account;
  • sell or transfer subscription access contrary to these Terms;
  • manipulate purchase identifiers;
  • bypass subscription verification;
  • create competing ownership claims;
  • otherwise attempt to obtain paid functionality without authorization.

Section 13. Restoring Purchases

Where supported by the applicable app store, SLIDEC may provide functionality to restore or revalidate prior purchases.

Successful restoration may require:

  • access to the relevant app-store account;
  • an active SLIDEC account;
  • successful verification of purchase ownership;
  • compatibility between the purchase and the current SLIDEC account.

The existence of an app-store transaction does not necessarily mean that it can be assigned to any arbitrary SLIDEC account.

Section 14. Subscription Upgrades, Downgrades, and Changes

Where available, you may be able to upgrade, downgrade, change billing periods, or otherwise modify your subscription.

The effective date, billing treatment, credits, charges, renewal date, and eligibility for such changes are governed primarily by the applicable app store and the terms shown at the time of the change.

SLIDEC does not independently control the billing mechanics imposed by an app store.

Section 15. Add-Ons and Additional Purchases

SLIDEC may offer optional add-ons or additional paid functionality.

Some add-ons may require an active qualifying subscription.

If an add-on depends on a particular subscription plan, access to the add-on may become unavailable if the required underlying subscription expires, is canceled, is refunded, is revoked, or is otherwise no longer valid.

The eligibility requirements for an add-on will be displayed before purchase where applicable.

Section 16. Cancellation

You may cancel an auto-renewable subscription using the subscription-management tools provided by the store or billing provider through which you purchased it.

Canceling normally prevents future renewal but does not necessarily terminate access immediately. Unless otherwise required by law or stated by the applicable store, access generally continues until the end of the already-paid subscription period.

Deleting the SLIDEC application from your device does not cancel a subscription.

Signing out of your SLIDEC account does not cancel a subscription.

Deleting a SLIDEC account does not itself cancel billing through Apple, Google, or another external billing provider.

Section 17. Refunds

Purchases made through Apple, Google, or another app store are subject to the applicable store’s payment and refund procedures.

Where the applicable store controls the transaction, refund requests may need to be submitted directly to that store.

A cancellation, account deletion, inability to use a feature, change of device, or decision to stop using SLIDEC does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Nothing in these Terms limits refund, withdrawal, cooling-off, warranty, or other consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Section 18. Price Changes

Subscription prices may change over time.

Where an app store manages the subscription, price changes, required notifications, subscriber consent, and renewal treatment are governed by the applicable store rules and applicable law.

Where required, you will receive notice or be asked to consent before a price increase takes effect.

If applicable rules permit a price change without affirmative consent, the store may provide notice and allow you to cancel before the new price applies.

SLIDEC does not guarantee that historical pricing will remain available indefinitely unless we expressly state otherwise.

Section 19. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your SLIDEC account.

Where available, deletion may be initiated through SLIDEC account settings or another deletion mechanism provided by SLIDEC.

Section 20. Account Deletion with an Active Subscription

An active app-store subscription and a SLIDEC account are related but legally and technically separate.

Deleting a SLIDEC account does not itself cancel a subscription billed by Apple, Google, or another app-store provider.

If an active subscription is associated with your account, SLIDEC may offer you the option to:

A. Schedule deletion.

You may schedule account deletion for the end of the current paid subscription period.

Where necessary, you may be asked to cancel automatic renewal through the applicable store first.

Your SLIDEC account may remain available until the applicable paid period expires, after which the scheduled deletion process will begin.

This option is intended to avoid unnecessarily losing access to a subscription period you have already purchased.

B. Delete immediately.

You may also choose immediate account deletion where required or made available.

Before immediate deletion, SLIDEC may warn you that:

  • the external subscription may remain active;
  • the app store may continue billing unless you separately cancel renewal;
  • subscription access associated with the deleted SLIDEC account may be lost;
  • restoring the deleted account or its prior subscription association may not be possible;
  • deleting the account does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

You are responsible for managing the external subscription through the applicable app store.

SLIDEC will not intentionally prevent an immediate deletion right where applicable law or platform rules require that right.

Section 21. Effect of Account Deletion

When deletion is completed, SLIDEC will delete or request deletion of personal account data controlled by SLIDEC except where continued retention is required or permitted by law.

Deletion may permanently remove:

  • account information;
  • profile information;
  • account-linked subscription records;
  • account-linked service records;
  • account associations;
  • other cloud information linked to that account.

Some information stored exclusively on your devices may remain unless separately removed, reset, or deleted from those devices.

Information held independently by an app store, identity provider, payment provider, or another third party is governed by that provider’s own retention and deletion practices.

Account deletion may be irreversible.

Section 22. Local Settings and Device Information

Certain SLIDEC settings may be stored locally rather than as part of your cloud account.

These may include presentation layouts, timer preferences, haptic settings, appearance settings, or remembered devices.

Signing out or deleting your account may not automatically remove every local preference unless SLIDEC expressly indicates otherwise.

You may need to reset settings, remove remembered devices, or delete application data separately if you wish to clear local configuration.

Section 23. Compatible Devices and Third-Party Software

SLIDEC depends in part on devices, operating systems, permissions, presentation applications, connectivity, and third-party platform behavior that we do not control.

Compatibility may vary based on factors including:

  • device model;
  • operating-system version;
  • application version;
  • local connectivity;
  • required system permissions;
  • battery or power state;
  • background-execution restrictions;
  • presentation software;
  • configuration of the computer or controlling device;
  • third-party updates.

We do not guarantee compatibility with every device, operating-system version, presentation application, browser, document format, or third-party service.

Third-party updates may temporarily or permanently affect compatibility.

Section 24. Local Connectivity

Certain core presentation-control features may depend on local communication between compatible devices.

Successful operation may depend on:

  • devices being powered on;
  • required permissions being granted;
  • compatible versions being installed;
  • devices being reachable;
  • local wireless or network conditions;
  • relevant applications remaining operational.

SLIDEC does not control local radio interference, network conditions, operating-system scheduling, device power management, or third-party hardware behavior.

Section 25. Presentation Reliability and User Responsibility

SLIDEC is designed to provide convenient presentation control, but no software-based remote-control system can guarantee uninterrupted operation in every environment.

Before an important presentation, event, class, meeting, conference, examination, broadcast, or other time-sensitive use, you are responsible for checking that:

  • your devices are adequately charged;
  • the devices are connected as expected;
  • required permissions are enabled;
  • SLIDEC responds correctly;
  • the presentation software behaves as expected;
  • an appropriate backup control method is available if necessary.

You remain responsible for the presentation itself, its contents, its timing, and decisions made in reliance on it.

Section 26. Not for Safety-Critical Use

SLIDEC is a presentation-control product.

It is not designed, tested, certified, or intended for:

  • medical-device control;
  • emergency-response systems;
  • transportation control;
  • industrial safety systems;
  • weapons systems;
  • life-support systems;
  • infrastructure control;
  • environments where failure could reasonably result in death, personal injury, or serious property or environmental damage.

You must not use SLIDEC as a safety-critical control system.

Section 27. Presentation Content

SLIDEC does not claim ownership of the presentations, documents, websites, PDFs, or other content that you control using the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to present, display, distribute, or otherwise use any content you choose to control using SLIDEC.

SLIDEC is not responsible for copyright, confidentiality, licensing, privacy, or other legal issues arising from presentation content selected by the user.

Section 28. Acceptable Use

You may use SLIDEC only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not:

  • use SLIDEC to access or control devices without authorization;
  • attempt to bypass authentication or trusted-device protections;
  • circumvent subscription, plan, device, usage, or entitlement restrictions;
  • falsify or manipulate purchase or account information;
  • interfere with the Service or infrastructure supporting it;
  • intentionally overload, probe, scan, attack, or exploit the Service;
  • distribute malware through or in connection with the Service;
  • attempt unauthorized access to another user’s account;
  • impersonate another person;
  • use automated methods to abuse account, subscription, recovery, or evaluation systems;
  • use SLIDEC for fraudulent purposes;
  • use the Service in violation of applicable law;
  • infringe the intellectual-property or other rights of SLIDEC or third parties.

Section 29. Reverse Engineering and Circumvention

Except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law or applicable open-source licenses, you may not:

  • copy or reproduce SLIDEC beyond permitted backup or installation rights;
  • modify SLIDEC;
  • decompile SLIDEC;
  • disassemble SLIDEC;
  • reverse engineer SLIDEC;
  • attempt to derive source code;
  • extract proprietary components;
  • create unauthorized derivative works;
  • bypass security or licensing controls;
  • circumvent subscription checks or feature restrictions;
  • distribute unauthorized modified versions of SLIDEC.

Nothing in this section prohibits conduct that applicable law expressly gives you a non-waivable right to perform.

Section 30. Intellectual Property

SLIDEC, including its:

  • software;
  • source code;
  • object code;
  • interfaces;
  • visual design;
  • graphics;
  • icons;
  • branding;
  • logos;
  • text;
  • product design;
  • functionality;
  • documentation;
  • proprietary protocols;
  • original content

is owned by or licensed to the Developer and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except for the limited license expressly granted by these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Section 31. Trademarks

SLIDEC and associated names, logos, product identifiers, and branding may be trademarks or other protected identifiers of their respective owners.

These Terms do not grant you a license to use SLIDEC branding in a manner that implies sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or authorization.

Names and trademarks belonging to Apple, Google, Microsoft, Canva, or other third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

Section 32. Feedback

You may voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, comments, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback about SLIDEC.

You are not required to provide feedback.

If you choose to provide feedback, you grant the Developer a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable right to use, reproduce, adapt, modify, implement, commercialize, and otherwise use that feedback without compensation or obligation to you.

Do not include confidential information or information you do not have the right to disclose in feedback.

Section 33. Support Communications

If you contact us for support, you are responsible for the information you choose to provide.

Please avoid sending passwords, full payment credentials, authentication tokens, confidential presentation materials, or other sensitive information unless specifically necessary and requested through an appropriate secure method.

Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, SLIDEC does not guarantee a specific support response time.

Section 34. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the SLIDEC Privacy Policy:

https://slidec.app/privacy

The Privacy Policy forms an important part of your relationship with SLIDEC.

For privacy-related requests, contact:

privacy@slidec.app

Section 35. Third-Party Services

SLIDEC depends on or interacts with third-party services and platforms that may include:

  • operating-system providers;
  • app stores;
  • authentication providers;
  • subscription-management providers;
  • cloud infrastructure providers;
  • web infrastructure providers;
  • presentation applications.

Your use of those services may be subject to additional terms and privacy policies from those providers.

We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for changes, outages, restrictions, discontinuation, or independent actions by those providers, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

Section 36. Apple App Store

If you obtain SLIDEC through an Apple App Store:

  • your acquisition and use of the application is also subject to applicable Apple terms and usage rules;
  • Apple may process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and billing;
  • subscription management and cancellation are performed through Apple where Apple is the billing provider;
  • Apple’s applicable Standard EULA governs the software license unless a valid Custom EULA is expressly provided;
  • nothing in these Terms requires Apple to provide support for SLIDEC beyond obligations Apple independently assumes under its own terms.

These Terms are between you and the Developer regarding the SLIDEC Service and do not make Apple a party to obligations that belong solely to the Developer.

Section 37. Google and Google Play

Where SLIDEC is distributed through Google Play or uses Google authentication:

  • your use may also be subject to Google’s applicable terms;
  • Google may process authentication, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and billing;
  • subscription management may be performed through Google Play where Google is the billing provider.

SLIDEC does not control Google’s independent account, payment, refund, or platform policies.

Section 38. Beta, Test, and Pre-Release Features

SLIDEC may make experimental, beta, preview, TestFlight, sandbox, development, or other pre-release functionality available.

Such functionality may:

  • contain errors;
  • change without notice;
  • operate differently from released functionality;
  • have limited availability;
  • be reset or discontinued;
  • not be suitable for critical presentations.

Pre-release functionality is provided for testing and evaluation and should not be relied upon as equivalent to a final production release.

Section 39. Updates

SLIDEC may release software updates, security fixes, compatibility changes, or new versions.

Some updates may be necessary for continued use of all or part of the Service.

Older versions may eventually become unsupported where necessary for security, compatibility, operational, or technical reasons.

You are responsible for keeping your devices and applications reasonably up to date where required for continued compatibility.

Section 40. Changes to the Service

We may modify, add, remove, replace, improve, limit, or discontinue features of SLIDEC.

Where a material change affects an active paid service, we will comply with applicable law and relevant app-store requirements.

Nothing in these Terms guarantees the permanent availability of a particular feature, integration, platform, operating system, device, or third-party compatibility.

Section 41. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or restrict access to SLIDEC where reasonably necessary to:

  • protect account security;
  • investigate suspected fraud;
  • resolve conflicting subscription ownership;
  • prevent abuse;
  • respond to a security incident;
  • comply with law;
  • enforce these Terms;
  • protect SLIDEC, its infrastructure, users, or third parties.

Where reasonable and legally required, we will provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue.

We may terminate an account for serious or repeated violations of these Terms.

Termination by SLIDEC does not itself cancel a third-party app-store subscription unless the applicable platform processes such cancellation.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Section 42. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee that SLIDEC will always be:

  • uninterrupted;
  • error-free;
  • continuously available;
  • compatible with every device;
  • compatible with every future operating-system release;
  • free from temporary latency;
  • free from connection failures;
  • available in every country.

Maintenance, third-party outages, security incidents, platform changes, device limitations, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect availability.

Section 43. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We disclaim warranties that may legally be disclaimed, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

We do not warrant that:

  • every presentation command will always be delivered;
  • every third-party application will respond identically;
  • SLIDEC will operate with every device or software version;
  • local connectivity will never fail;
  • SLIDEC will satisfy every individual presentation requirement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, remedies, or consumer protections that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Section 44. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer and SLIDEC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from or related to the Service, including:

  • lost profits;
  • lost revenue;
  • lost opportunities;
  • business interruption;
  • reputational loss;
  • loss of data;
  • presentation interruption;
  • inability to advance or control a presentation;
  • failure of a third-party device or application.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of the Developer arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of:

A. the amount you paid for SLIDEC during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or

B. USD 50 or the equivalent value in your local currency.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including where applicable law provides otherwise for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death, personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights.

Section 45. Professional and Commercial Use

SLIDEC may be used in professional, educational, business, or commercial presentations.

However, purchasing a consumer subscription does not create a service-level agreement, guaranteed uptime commitment, guaranteed latency commitment, or enterprise support obligation unless SLIDEC expressly enters into a separate written agreement providing one.

If you use SLIDEC on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to use the Service on its behalf.

Section 46. Organizational Use and Indemnity

If you use SLIDEC on behalf of a business, company, institution, or other organization, then, to the extent permitted by applicable law, that organization agrees to defend and indemnify the Developer against third-party claims resulting from:

  • the organization’s unlawful use of SLIDEC;
  • presentation content provided by the organization;
  • unauthorized control of devices by the organization;
  • violation of third-party rights by the organization;
  • material breach of these Terms by the organization.

This section does not apply to individual consumers where such an obligation would be prohibited or unenforceable under applicable law.

Section 47. Force Majeure

To the extent permitted by law, SLIDEC will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including:

  • internet or network disruption;
  • local wireless interference;
  • power failure;
  • platform outages;
  • app-store outages;
  • third-party service failures;
  • natural disasters;
  • governmental action;
  • war;
  • civil disturbance;
  • labor disruption;
  • widespread infrastructure failures;
  • major cybersecurity incidents not caused by our failure to use legally required care.

Section 48. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, restrict, or exclude rights that applicable consumer law does not permit you to waive.

If the consumer-protection laws of your country or region provide mandatory rights that conflict with these Terms, those mandatory rights prevail to the extent of the conflict.

This includes any mandatory rights relating to:

  • conformity of digital services;
  • statutory warranties;
  • refunds;
  • withdrawal;
  • remedies;
  • unfair contract terms;
  • dispute resolution;
  • jurisdiction.

Section 49. Export and Sanctions Compliance

You must not use, export, re-export, transfer, or make the Service available in violation of applicable export-control, trade-sanctions, or other applicable laws.

You represent that your use of the Service is permitted under laws applicable to you.

Section 50. Electronic Communications

You agree that we may provide Service-related communications electronically, including through:

  • the SLIDEC applications;
  • email;
  • slidec.app;
  • app-store mechanisms;
  • operating-system notifications where enabled.

Such communications may include:

  • security notices;
  • subscription information;
  • account notices;
  • changes to the Service;
  • changes to these Terms;
  • legally required notices.

Marketing communications, if introduced, will be handled separately where consent or opt-out rights are required.

Section 51. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect:

  • changes to SLIDEC;
  • new features;
  • new platforms;
  • changes to subscriptions;
  • legal requirements;
  • security requirements;
  • changes to third-party services;
  • operational changes.

The “Last updated” date will identify the most recent version.

Where required by law, we will provide reasonable notice before material changes become effective.

If a change materially affects an existing paid subscription, applicable consumer law and app-store requirements will apply.

Continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

If applicable law requires affirmative consent to a particular change, we will request it.

Section 52. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Chile, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent mandatory law requires otherwise.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your habitual residence where those protections legally apply.

Section 53. Jurisdiction and Disputes

Before commencing formal proceedings, you are encouraged to contact us so that we can attempt to resolve the dispute.

Contact:
contact@slidec.app

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the competent courts of Chile.

If applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a dispute before the courts, regulators, consumer bodies, or dispute-resolution mechanisms of your place of residence, these Terms do not remove that right.

Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking urgent relief where necessary to protect intellectual-property, security, or other rights.

Section 54. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive the right to enforce it later.

A waiver is effective only to the extent expressly given.

Section 55. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where permitted.

If it cannot be made enforceable, it will be severed.

The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Section 56. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your SLIDEC account without our prior written permission, except where applicable law gives you such a right.

We may transfer these Terms in connection with:

  • incorporation of the SLIDEC business;
  • reorganization;
  • merger;
  • acquisition;
  • financing;
  • sale of SLIDEC;
  • transfer of substantially all relevant assets;

provided that applicable privacy, consumer, and contractual obligations are respected.

Section 57. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the SLIDEC Privacy Policy and any applicable purchase terms, app-store terms, or software license applicable to your installation, constitute the agreement governing your use of the Service.

If a specific written agreement between you and SLIDEC expressly states that it overrides part of these Terms, that agreement controls to the extent of the stated conflict.

Section 58. Language

These Terms may be made available in multiple languages.

Translations may be provided for convenience and accessibility.

To the extent permitted by law, the English version is the reference version in the event of an inconsistency.

Where applicable law requires a translated or local-language version to control, that requirement will apply.
